We have been hearing news about electric cars for years, today it isn’t a new tech, in fact the electric car was invented long before gas cars even existed, his problem was that it was doomed to die, it was to early for the electric car to exist.
But lately the electric car is a trending topic again, the diference is that this time it has came back to stay.

But there are still many people who don’t know exactly how the electric car works and they oppose it, even though they dont know how a gas car works either, they just believe in it because it is what has always been around.
Simplicity
There is a false belief that electric cars, being «new tech»(It’s not a new tech), are more complex, but it is quite the opposite. The electric car has much less parts and also the fewer parts that it has, most of them are non-moving parts therefore they don’t suffer wear.
Unlike the gas car, which has hundreds of parts that in turn move another hundred parts. For example, the gas engine can’t work by itself, it needs many other elements to work: Refrigeration system, oil pump, alternator, starter engine, battery, gas pump, air filter, oil filter…
In brief, the gas car is like an old man who has fought in the Vietnam War but now needs a whole set of health equipment to keep «working».
Security
Another advantage that the electric car has that few people mention is that is safer than a gas car. And you will think that it doesn’t make sense, what does the type of engine have to do with the safety and the dynamics of the car? Well it makes a lot of sense, and the explanation is Dynamic Physics. To begin with, the electric engine is much smaller and lighter, it’s the size of a watermelon, one person can easily lift it.

- The electric engine apart from being lighter, it is also smaller, as you can see in the previous image the two motors are located just above the axle of the wheel, while the gas engine beast takes a lot of space and the only place you can fit it is in the front of the vehicle. Therefore, the weight distribution is far from its proper position, this means that the closer the weight is to the C.G( gravity center), the more stable is the vehicle.
- Almost all of the weight of the electric car comes from its batteries, and they are located on the floor of the vehicle, therefore the CG is closer to the ground. This allows the car to be very stable in the turns.
- In a gas car in the event of an accident, chances are high that a fire will start and you will die, while in a electric car… well, you will die aswell but it will be for a good cause.
Pollution
This is the strong advantage of the electric car, since you all know, it doesn’t contaminate anything, it’s 100% clean, no fake, Full Hd, 1 link mega…
Well all that is not completely true, actually the electric car does contaminate, but this is not somethig that should surprise you. Every living being in the universe does contaminate, just for the simple fact of existing, your grandma contaminates, your brother contaminates, your dog contaminates (mine doesn’t because it’s dead).
The diference between gas cars and electric cars is that the electric engine has a performance of 95% compared to the miserable 20% efficiency of a gas engine. That is to say, although the electricity came from non-renewable source like oil, it’s cleaner to use an electric engine because you can take advantage of all the energy, unlike gas engine where almost 80% of the energy escapes trough the tailpipe as heat, lung cancer, pollution and noise.
Saving
This is the point that people care about most; neither the planet, climate change or Greenpeace is as important as your wallet.
Well it turns out that if you have an electric car you dont have to change air filter or oil filter or the fucking gas filter every certain kilometers. Also you don’t have to change the timing belt and probabily the mechanic will say «SinCe wE aRe hERe, we’ll cHangE tHe wAtEr pUMp tOo».
And pray against having many breakdowns, because you will have them. As we said before, it is made of many moving parts that suffer wear, so it’s just a matter of time that some element will stop working and you will have to take your wallet for a walk.

As you have seen the electric car still has a lot of room for improvement but all revolution has big challenges to overcome that at first seem impossible.
